Nick Carpenter of Medium Build on his Career, Anchorage and Dive Bars

Medium Build is one of the most popular bands in Alaska and is gaining more national recognition. Just a handful of years ago, Nick Carpenter was playing shows where he could, in basements and small rooms around Anchorage.

Now, he’s touring nationally and selling out the Beartooth. Earlier this month, Emily Fehrenbacher took Nick out for a Sunday bar crawl to talk about his career, being a musician in Alaska and his favorite dive bars around town.
