What’s Up, Alaska?!: Music and entrepreneurship with Alpine Music Studios

Matt Brenna and Emi Williams are the owners of Alpine Music Studios. They are also rockstar members of the band The Jangle Bees.

Brenna and Williams lead a talented team of instructors, all of whom are active in the local music scene. The studio has made a point to hire instructors who know what it takes to create and perform music with others in the community.

Before launching Alpine, the two actually met when Williams started taking guitar lessons from Brenna to kill time while recovering from knee surgery in 2018. Shortly after, The Jangle Bees were formed where the two are currently vocalists with Brenna on guitar and Williams on bass. The wildly talented Forest Wilson and Chad Reynvaan round out the four-piece, who are currently wrapping up their third album.

Fun fact: “What’s Up, Alaska?!” host Blaze Bell was the first instructor hired by Alpine Music Studios. She was instrumental in helping Alpine take their first steps toward being a legitimate music studio with over 275 active students. She’s a rockstar.
