The AKLNG special session continues to grind forward. While the extra innings have provided better insight into the proposed 800-mile pipeline project to connect the North Slope’s natural gas fields with Southcentral Alaska, they have also shown just how shaky the project’s fundamentals remain — regardless of how deep a tax cut is ultimately approved. Still, lawmakers seem to be honing in on the key issues — property taxes and price protections — as they work to unravel the project’s “razzle dazzle.”
