This year, when the autumn chill is in the air, carve some time out of your schedule to head to Fallidays at Silver Bell Square. The fun community event takes place at Silver Bell Square, which is next to Santa Claus House in North Pole, just 13 miles from Fairbanks.
Fallidays is scheduled for one weekend this year: Sept. 26 and 27. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. All activities are outdoors, so be sure to plan accordingly for the weekend’s weather, whether you need to bundle up, prepare for rain, or slather on the sunscreen.
Last year’s event featured a giant straw maze with more than 3,000 bales, but due to difficulty with the straw harvest this year, the team wasn’t able to create a giant maze this year. However, organizers are excited to offer a variety of fun family activities for 2026, and they hope to bring back the maze next year.

Seasonal photo opportunities
Grab some great family photos (and maybe even take the perfect image for a holiday card).
Pumpkin patch
Pick out the perfect pumpkin to carve and celebrate the harvest season. Fallidays’ pumpkin patch will include plenty of great pumpkins to carve for jack-o’-lanterns or to use in an assortment of fall and harvest-themed decorations.
Special fall food, sweets, and treats
Enjoy a variety of seasonal fall foods, sweets, and plenty of treats to round out your weekend at Fallidays. Be sure to grab some s’mores and roast your own marshmallows at the fire pit!
Carnival games with prizes
Spend time playing a number of different carnival games with the kids at an expanded carnival game area this year. You might just come home with some exciting prizes.
Pole-in-One mini-golf course
Santa Claus House recently opened a mini-golf course, which it dubs “Pole-in-One.” Play a few rounds of mini golf on the new course, which, of course, features red turf for Santa.
Kids play area
This year, there will be a new play area for kids that will include straw bales, tractor tires, and other fun features.
Visit Santa Claus House
Silver Bell Square is adjacent to Santa Claus House, so it only makes sense to stop by while you’re there.
Santa Claus House began around 75 years ago when Con and Nellie Miller settled in Fairbanks. They built a trading post in a location near Fairbanks that people started calling the North Pole. In honor of this, they decided to name the shop Santa Claus House.
At first, it focused on the basics, like groceries, and also provided postal service. Eventually, they added a 42-foot-tall Santa Statue. Today, the building is very festive, and you can find plenty of Christmas ornaments and other décor there, as well as special North Pole apparel, a collection of toys, and a number of made-in-Alaska items.
Send a Letter to Santa
A favorite Santa Claus House tradition is Letters from Santa. You can order a personalized letter from Santa Claus to be sent to your favorite child or adult.
Select from a number of different letter options, including ones to commemorate special occasions, such as a baby’s first Christmas. Each is mailed right from the Santa Claus House in the North Pole. You can also order a Santa letter online, which is especially handy if you’re bringing the whole family to Fallidays.
Shop for Christmas
Santa Claus House is packed with Christmas decorations and other items to purchase, so plan some time to wander through the aisles and displays. Select from ornaments and a wide variety of other items to celebrate the season.
It has everything from Christmas-themed trinkets to tasty treats like tins of hot cocoa, plus gorgeous handcrafted soaps, a fun selection of toys, and more. You can also take advantage of online ordering for a selection of items.
