Here are all the dates you need to know if you’re planning to vote in Alaska’s 2026 midterm elections.
Election Day in Alaska and across the country is Tuesday, Nov. 3, but if you’re planning to vote in the election, which includes high-profile races for the US Senate and US House of Representatives, there are a lot of other important dates to keep in mind.
Here’s your calendar of key dates in Alaska’s 2026 midterm elections:
SUNDAY, OCT. 4: This is your last day to register to vote in November’s midterm elections. You can check your registration and register online using The Alaska Current’s voter registration tool. This date does not apply to October’s municipal elections held Oct. 6—the deadline to register to vote in those elections is Sunday, Sept. 6.
MONDAY, OCT. 19-MONDAY, NOV. 2: Voters can cast their ballots in-person. You can find exact times and locations for your precinct here.
SATURDAY, OCT. 24: This is the deadline to request a mail ballot. Our online portal can help you get started.
TUESDAY, NOV. 3: This is the last day to vote in Alaska’s midterm elections. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. All mail ballots must be postmarked on or before this date and received by Friday, Nov. 13 to be counted.
